5th Wedding Anniversay

Today we are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary!  Our plan was to drop Peyton over to Erin's house so that he can play with Zoe.  Peyton is still giving us a lot of trouble with us leaving him.  I was hoping that this phase would have ended by now, but nope....still going strong.  He was upset when we told him he was going to Zoe's house.  He said he didn't want to go.  He wanted to stay home.  Then after some talking to, he seemed excited about going, only to go back to crying 5 minutes later.  His emotions got the best of him.  He didn't know whether to be excited or anxious.  And boy was he mad at us in the car!  Of course I kept torturing him by taking pictures of him. Ha!  Poor little guy!  He seemed fine when we drove up and got his stuff out of the car.  And he was fine as he snooped all over Erin's apartment.  But when we were about to leave, his emotions got to him again and he started to cry.  Peyton hid his face because even though he was upset that we were leaving him, he didn't want Zoe to see him cry (and Zoe was looking around Kevin to see if he was or not)!  So funny!   About 30 seconds later Erin texts me saying that he was already happy and playing with Zoe.  We knew he would have fun.  It is just hard for him the moment we are walking out the door.  When we returned to pick him up he was all smiles!

Commanders was awesome for brunch.  We usually go for an evening dinner, but Brother Martin's School had the whole place reserved for the night.  So brunch it was!  And I was glad because they had on the menu one of my Commander's favorites, Quail!  It was so yummy!  After dinner, the jazz guys came up to us and asked what the occasion was and when we told him it was our anniversary, he sang a song called something like "Happiness".  :)  It was lovely.

Then later this evening we went over to Grammy and Grand Dad's house for  dinner.  Which was great also!  I didn't have to cook all day!!   Thanks Grammy and Grand Dad!
