Driving Around

Whoever designed these baskets is a genius!!  It's so practical...entertained and held my new Christmas decorations at the same time.  :) 

I am noticing how crappy my pictures are now with my three-year old Canon point and shoot.  I carry this camera everywhere (never know when there is a Kodak moment) and need a new one so, so bad!  Hopefully Santa will bring me a new Nikon S6000 camera.  I asked him very nicely so we will see what happens!  HA!

Our Family Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving had to be the best since Peyton was born!  We spent Thanksgiving with family in Wiggins, Mississippi.   Peyton really loved playing with all the kids running in the huge field behind the family home.  He made friends quickly with Luke who is a year younger than Peyton and Betsy who is about two years older.  Luke has older siblings so you would think he was the same age as Peyton.  He is so vocal and social.  Peyton really took to him and enjoyed playing with him.....especially cars! 

The food was delicious and we all even enjoyed watching the Saints win against the Cowboys (who I despise)!  Ha!  After dinner and the game we headed over to a family ice cream shop that they just opened called Over the Top.  I love this ice cream shop!  It has a 50s look with pretty blue, orange and yellow, swirling chairs, old timey looking booths, the works!!  They opened the shop just for the family and we all had some ice cream and shakes.  Peyton had ice cream flavor called Superman.  The kids had a blast!!  What a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

It's Done!

Our fence and our driveway are finally done!!  Now when we play in the backyard I can relax and read a book without worrying about Peyton  and our puppy running in the road or even worse, someone driving by snatching one or the other up.  Such a little thing but boy was it an inconvenience not to have a fence back there!  Next project....a basketball goal!  :)

Just Being Facetious

My humorous little boy thought it was funny the first time he accidentally rolled his car under Grammy's oven, but the second time resulted in it rolling way, way back underneath it where Daddy had to do some maneuvering of the oven to get it.  :)  We have such a little jokester on our hands!!

The Time has Finally Come!

This morning trucks showed up along with a trailer (which Peyton loved and he pulled up a seat to watch) filled with lumber and concrete to start on our new driveway and fence!  I am so frickin' excited!!

Zack Turns 7

Today is my puppy's 7th birthday.  And we had a little celebration!  :)  I happen to mention to Peyton the other day that Zack's birthday was coming up.  Peyton asked where Zack's birthday cake and present was! Now how sweet is that???   I asked Peyton if he wanted Mommy to bake Zack a cake and he said yes and to "sing Happy Birthday to Zack".   (Peyton is SO into birthdays now!)  So I looked online and found a healthy doggy cake recipe!  This recipe sounded disgusting but full of stuff that puppys love like......low-fat peanut butter, honey, carrots, and bananas, topped off (as icing) with low-fat cottage cheese.  Yummy right? It didn't smell so great baking either, but what wouldn't I do for my favorite puppy? When Daddy came home from work, we sang Happy Birthday to Zack, let Peyton blow out Zack's candles, and watched Zack gobble down his small piece of birthday cake (must have been good) and play with his new toy.  Happy Birthday my sweet puppy!
