In Need of a Morning Nap

As I was sitting on the couch reading a magazine, Peyton suddenly got very quiet. I looked over and he was fast asleep! My mom told me that this would happen one day.....he would be playing one minute then fast asleep the next. I guess we were in need of a morning nap! :)

Chalk it up!

I love dollar stores!!! You can find some great bargains, such as CHALK. Who can pass up an hour of entertainment for just one buck?

Bonnabel Playground Fun

Today Peyton and I had to get out of the house. So after finishing what I wanted to do this morning, we headed out to Bonnabel Playground to meet up with the mommy group. After everyone left, another mommy (Theresa & Evan) and I took the boys out to the lake to feed the ducks. I didn't get any pictures of the duck feeding for I was way too busy trying keeping Peyton out of the water! :)

Family Bicycling

Since it was such a beautiful sunny day, Daddy, Peyton and I decided to take a nice bike ride to the lake, throw a blanket, and enjoy a couple of margaritas while Peyton ran around chasing the birds. Then we bicycled to a little park to let Peyton climb and play on the slides. Upon returning home, Peyton had his dinner and bath and needless to say he was more than ready for bed. Daddy and I enjoyed the rest of the night cooking hamburgers on the grill and relaxing outside on our deck drinking wine. Could a Sunday be any more perfect!!

Coconut Beach Fun

Today Peyton and I went out to Coconut Beach to watch Daddy play. While out there Peyton got to play in the sand with his little friend, Alex, who he has not seen since they were about 6 months old. Sometime after the game, Peyton's Nanny came out to watch her friend Diego play. So we all decided to watch his game as Peyton had the BEST time running up and down the levee. We ended up staying there until 10:00 p.m. (two hours past his bedtime), so we had one very tired, worn-out little boy when we left.

Global Wildlife Center Trip

Today Peyton, Grammy and I went with the mommy group to Global Wildlife Center. We really enjoyed this trip. It was a long drive but totally worth it. Peyton kept giggling when the animals would come up to the cart to eat out of the cups.

City Park Playdate

Today we had a City Park playdate. It was a georgous day. Peyton was ALL over the place. He took a wonderfully long nap when we got home. This is my kind of playdate!!! :)

French Quarter Fest 2009

Today we went to the French Quarter Fest. It wasn't the most beautiful day...very, very cloudy, but the rain held off. Yeah!! It was a little humid, but when the wind blew it had a nice cool crisp feeling. And the food was absolutely delicious! I love French Quarter Fest. Peyton allowed us to be out there from 11:00 a.m. and we got home around 6:00 p.m. It was an all day event for us. It was great though. Really enjoyed it!! There is absolutely no place like New Orleans. I love it here. There is an ambience here that no other place holds!

Peyton really enjoyed running around everywhere. He was amazed with the sea gulls and kept pointing to them and saying something that sounds like "what". He loved staring at the boats passing by on the river. Most of all, my baby loves to people watch! HA! I had fun with my baby boy! I am enjoying it now because one day, going to these type of festivals will be the last thing he would want to do!

Auburn University people (I guess the club) had a setup behind one of the shops for any and all Auburn people to stop by for free food and wine and use of the bathroom if needed. This was really nice! They even had some Auburn stuff to buy. Of course I wanted a t-shirt for Peyton which Grammy took from me and she bought it for Peyton. Today was a wonderful day.
