Our Family Florida Trip

Florida was a great time! Except for one night, the weather was very pretty and hot. Kevin's family (I learned this trip) has been going to Florida every year with another family for over 30 years now. The kids of these two familes grew up together and now have kids of their own. Peyton and little Woodes (15 months) is the youngest of the next generation to experience this tradition. I am so happy to be apart of it.I swear that Peyton grew so much in just this one week. Everything was a new thing to explore in Florida. He loved the water and sand. He watched his little Florida buddy, Woodes so intently with everything he did, the next thing we knew lying down was no longer an option. He wanted to stand up or sit up all the time. He wanted to do everything that little Woodes was doing, but I think his age of just 5 1/2 months got the best of the situation. Next year it will be different for my little honey! But he loved watching his little friend (and future boardwalk buddy on Friday nights 17 years from now). :) His coordination with grabbing toys or whatever pleases him with both hands is perfect. He was around so many people it seems like all he did was smile, laugh and squeal. He sure is a happy, happy baby. And we found out that he loves Yoohoo. After watching daddy drink Yoohoo, he started grabbing at daddy's drink. We gave him a taste and he loved it. But he was only allowed a taste once in a while. The only thing that was not so good with this trip is that he is out of his good sleeping habits. Every night he fell asleep by 7:00 p.m. and was up at midnight, 3:00 a.m. and then again at 6:00 a.m. wanting a bottle. It was like having a newborn again! Maybe the swimming and fun in the sun made him hungry all the time. So now that we are home, I will have to work with him on his sleeping schedule again. Hoorah for me!Overall this trip was a great experience for Peyton and our family and friends loved having the babies around. The days were filled with too much great food, sun, water and sometimes alcohol. :) Daddy and I even had a little excape to the boardwalk on Friday night while Grammy watched the little one so that we can have some alone time!

Such Attitude!!

It started off cute, but then Peyton was mad because I changed his diaper before giving him the bottle that he wanted. After a little cry and a pout, I sat him up and asked him to give me a smile. Well this is the picture I get. I swear I don't know where he gets his attitude from!! :)

Peyton's First Playdate

Today was Peyton's first baby group playdate. I am excited that Peyton will be making new little friends. This group is awesome! They constantly do things during the month such as visit the Aquarium, swimming, Storyland at City Park, museum visits, play dates etc. Most of the members are stay at home moms so it is great for me as well.

Daddy's First Father's Day

Peyton and Daddy celebrated their first Father's Day. Daddy got from Peyton and Mommy two new beach chairs just in time for our upcoming Florida trip and a new basketball. Grandad stocked up pretty good himself! We started the day with a nice brunch with the family then a family dinner. We had a lovely day. Happy 1st Father's Day honey!!!

More Water Fun

Now I didn't hear any complaints with this water play! It is nice and warm. We had to get the sun tan lotion off of him from today. I just think that Peyton didn't like Mommy giving him a cow lick! HA!

Deigo's Birthday Grill Day

Deigo, Angela's friend, invited us to his birthday grill out. Peyton also had his first experience in the pool. I think he was not happy with the water temperature since Mommy always make his bath water nice and warm for him. HA! But then he started to put up with it. You would never know from the looks on his face in his pictures!

We have the Florida trip coming up this weekend and he will be in the water all week. I am sure he will come to love to swim. (Hopefully) :)
