No Shrimp for You

Today Peyton had his 15 month peditrician visit. The last visit was absolutely horrible and I was almost tempted to get Kevin to take him today since he was off work. The only thing that stopped me was that there were some questions I had for the doctor. When we got there, Peyton did not catch on to what was happening at first.......until he saw the white coat. I told the doctor (as Peyton was letting loose) that he was not going to be her favorite patient today. LOL. Of course, he didn't want the doctor near him! He screamed and cried and pushed and kicked....and there was tears and snot everywhere. AND all she did was check his vitals. The worse was about to come. Good old shots from the nurse. After a brief discussion the doctor left the room. While waiting for the worse part, Peyton continued to scream, cry, kick and forcefully leaned in towards the door just begging us to leave. He KNEW what was coming. Of course this is when the nurse took forrrevvver to get his shots ready. I mean 20 minutes forever. That is a long time when you have a screaming, very upset kid in your arms. When the nurse finally came into the room, apologizing profusely, she suddenly looked away for she had to notice the pissed off, aggitated look on my face. What the heck was she doing anyway? Taking some sort of break as my poor kid was letting the whole office know he wasn't happy? Giving him the shots was the worse. I had to hold his little arms down and kiss his red, swollen face as the nurse poked his legs. It took everything for me not to start crying myself. I was pretty stressed out by this point. I had him up in my arms before the nurse even had a chance to put bandaids on his legs. I had enough with this torture of my baby! I wanted him out of there. The funny thing is right after the shots he instantly stopped screaming. I guess he knew the worse part was over with. But I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Horrible I say!!!

Afterwards we went to a friends house for some boiled shrimp. Needless to say that Peyton was not in the best of moods . You can tell with the look on his face when we took the shrimp away. Sorry, even though you had a rough day little man, no shrimp for you! :)

Easter Egg Hunt Day

Today was Peyton's first Easter egg hunt at Lafreniere Park. I had to laugh at my little boy because he kept wanting to stop and play with each egg.......so I had to keep reminding him to put the eggs in his basket and look for another. :) Overall, it was a beautiful, fun day! We had pretty much the playground to ourselves, bubbles, goodies to eat, chalk for the pavement, great moms to hang with, and plenty of Easter eggs for everyone. This mommy group ROCKS!!

Easter Playdate

Today was beautiful day for an Easter playdate. All the kids loved being outside.....I was just a little worried about the kiddos being around those crazy black (Buckmoth?) caterpillars. I truly hate those things. :0 Turned out, to my relief, no one got stung. Just a couple more weeks and they should be gone...Thank God!!

Other than worrying about that issue, we had a wonderful playdate!!!

Sloppy Kisses

After a fun filled day with our playdate, Peyton and I was snuggling on the couch when he looked at me and planted a wet, sloppy kiss on my mouth. So I grabbed the camera and asked him to kiss Mommy again. He loves kissing and saying mmmmmwhaaaa. So cute!!! I caught a couple of kissy shots. My sweet little guy!!!

My mommy's group had plans to go to the zoo today but was cancelled due to more rain. So Daddy suggested we go to the mall. Well, I won't say no to that! HA! We had a chance to visit the Easter bunny!!

Feet Fetish

Today was filled with tears, tantrums, and good ol' Motrin. The only thing that stopped these tears was to let him have the things he knows he cannot have. My camera was one of them. And after a while, you do just about ANYTHING to have some quiet. So there I was handing over my camera slightly amused that he puts the camera to his mouth instead of his eye and presses the button. A flash occurs, he loses interest and searches for something new to con Mommy into giving him. But hey, at least he took a good picture. :)

Thank GOD I shaved and clipped my toenails last night! HA!

Rainy Daze

Our back yard/oaktree is infested with caterpillars that comes once a year. I hate those little bastards because they can sting the living crap out of you. And because of them Peyton has not been outside as much. Which....if you knew my little boy, is torturous. So between waiting for the caterpillars to phase out and Kevin spraying almost everyday to help the phasing out along, I have been looking for other things to do with Peyton. Inside that is... and it is not working. I have a very irritable little guy on my hands. Which is making Mommy irritable!! :) I think it may have to do between him having cabin fever and teething. And the rainy days hasn't helped. He is constantly hanging on my legs which makes it almost impossible to do anything productive! Peyton use to act up only with me, but NOW he is showing daddy this little side of temper tandrum heaven and it proves my point that this is why the house is not in order!! HA!

Today Peyton got his first haircut. I really didn't want to but Kevin kept telling me that MY SON was looking kind of shabby. But I didn't want to cut off those beautiful golden locks. I am so heartbroken!

Okay....now I have nothing to run my fingers through! :(

And then Peyton got his First Haircut award for being such a good boy through it all and not crying. But my question is this.......where is MY not busting in tears as the curls hit the floor, not grabbing the shears out of the nice hairdresser's hand, and not killing my husband for talking me into something I wasn't nearly ready for GROWN-UP BEHAVIOR AWARD! Huh, where is it??!!!! :)

Whoops with the setting of my camera. But it is amazing that even though the picture is overexposed, it still caught the brilliant color in Peyton's eyes. I really want to take photography classes! Sometimes accidents make the best pictures and I want to truly understand everything about photography other than what I already know. Anyhow, this is how my picture came out today. Well..... I like it anyway!

Because of the nasty weather Peyton was stuck inside. So Grammy brought the fun inside to him with bubbles. These are cute videos, but the funniest one is the last one. Enjoy!

City Park Fun

Today we met some friends at City Park. Another beautiful day! Peyton had the BEST time running after the ducks and exploring. He was passing out as I was pulling out of the parking lot. I had to put him to bed completely filthy because he was too tired for me to bath him. That is okay. All the dirt meant he played hard! :) I love that Peyton is a toddler. We have more fun now!!! Today Peyton and I went to a birthday playdate at Beth and Brenna's house. The kids had a great time especially when they went outside. It was a beautiful day for a birthday. Happy 1st Birthday Brenna!!!
