Of all of the times that I have been to the Greek Fest, I have to say that this was by far the best. Peyton is really enjoying it now and even got his face painted!!! Boy, of boy, it finally started and on a roll. It only took me almost 5 years to get him to paint his face. One happy mama here! I just know that my sweet girl Emma won't make me wait quite as long.....but we will see.
We first started off with some yummy Greek food and listened to some music and watched Greek dancing.
Then Peyton wanted to go to the bouncers (of course). While they did that, Emma and I did a little stroll to the stores and did a little girl shopping. That is where I bought Emma her first jingly hip scarf...and a bracelet. Got to get my girl a bracelet. The Greek sales lady told me that the symbols on it means to "keep the evil away". Well, I am all up for keeping the evil away. Ha! What fun!
After we were finish shopping, I was just strolling around when I see Kevin waving me down telling me that Peyton and Maddie was getting their face painted and to grab my camera! No problem there!
Peyton got a scary shark with blood and Maddie a fish. I have to say that Auntie Dawn was quite proud!
So overall, best.Greek.Fest.ever!!!!! We all had a blast. The only thing I am disappointed with is that they ran out of pastries. We always get pastries before we leave and there were none by 7:00!!!! So next year, we may have to not go on a Sunday.
