Today we arrived at Percy Quinn around 12:30, just in time for lunch. Peyton was so excited to be there. The trip was only an hour and a half, but when your child asks every 10 minutes "Are we in Mississippi yet?", it feels like a longer ride. :) But it was cute seeing Peyton so excited to do some camping. Not too long after we arrived there, we grilled some hamburgers then explored the area. Sometime later Peyton wanted to use his brand new Cars fishing pole. Pawpaw set him up and showed him how to throw out his line. Within 5 minutes Peyton caught his first fish ever!! He was sooooo excited and the look on his face was priceless. (But I have to say that Pawpaw was pretty excited and proud too!) After fishing got old, we jumped on our bikes for a little ride before it got too late. I grabbed my point and shoot and we headed off to the other side of the lake. So on our little adventure on our first day, we saw an alligator and discovered that two cabins down there was an enormous hornet's nest. Pretty scary, especially with how the nest looked. It reminded me of a mummy's head! :) I know to stay away from that area as far as possible. But of course, I had to take some pictures of the nest. So that was our first day. I have to say it was a pretty good day!
