Baby Davis is a

GIRL!  Kevin and I are in shock!  We didn't expect a girl!  Another boy, why yes.  We are to the moon and back with excitement!

Our baby girl is looking very healthy.  Our specialist told us we graduated from his office (unless Cholestatsis pops up).  We couldn't thank God enough for this wonderful gift that he added to our family.

Dear Baby Girl,

We love you so much already and I can't wait until I feel you move more and more.  Unfortunately the doctor is saying I have an anterior placenta which is blocking most of your kicks, but I will be feeling them all soon enough.

We can't wait to see you in January our sweet girl!

Love Mommy!

Chucking Along

I have been such a bad blogger the last couple of months!  I just can't find the energy to do it!  AND I have posts that I need to blog about from all the way from this past Easter.  I have no idea how in the world I will EVER catch up!

One day I will get back in the swing of things.  For some reason, this pregnancy is causing very low energy and very high irritability.  I am not trying to complain about this pregnancy because I am ecstatic to be here, but I have been dealing with nausea (which is a lot better but still here), heart palpitations which has been checked out and they say it is from the pregnancy, to being so tired that I can't keep my eyes open past 8:30 p.m.   I literally have NO energy.  If I sit still for any longer than 10 minutes, I find myself dozing off.  I can sleep a full 8 to 9 hours and wake up feeling like I could sleep more.  My life is creeping back to normal, but it sure is taking it's sweet time.

So I am hitting 17 weeks and I still find it hard to believe that I made it this far.  On the 13th we find out the sex of the baby.  Of course this ultrasound includes a very close up look at the baby.  We are praying that the baby looks perfect just like his/her brother did when we had him checked out.

Peyton is getting really excited about this baby.   He has been saying some really cute/funny things which I should really record.  I guess I will make a point to jot it down from now on.

But for now, I think I am going to lay back down.

July 4th Vacation

Our 4th of July vacation was a very nice one.  Peyton is really enjoying this vacation more and more each year.  He loves playing with his pal Woodes and his Cousin Maddy.

This year however he did get sick.  He had a major meltdown which at the time I found to really, really unreasonable and unnecessary.  Peyton got nipped by a fish or a crab and the meltdown began.  I soon realized that he had a fever and was sick.  I don't know exactly what he had but I am sure it was a bug of some sort.   My poor honey.
But after a day and a half, he was back to his silly self!  Nanny and Mike even drove down to spend a couple of days with us which made the trip even more fun.  The only downfall was that I was extremely tired and had off and on nausea from the pregnancy.  And I couldn't drink or ride on the Wave Runner.  Ha!  But I did muster up enough energy to take a trip to the Gulf side to spend some time on the beach.  Peyton wasn't a big fan of the waves but we managed a smile or two out of him.  After a while, he wanted to head back towards the sound side to swim.   So this week was full of eating, drinking, swimming, sunsets, sand playing and sunshine.  Can't wait until next year.  Next year we will have a new little one with us!  :)
