Birthday Surprise

Today Angie and Mike invited us over for a birthday BBQ.  I was so happy that my sister baked me a birthday cake.  I loved it and it was so delicious.  Plus after I walked in my good friend Becca, Michael, Logan and Brenna jumped out from behind a wall saying "surprise"!!  Yes, it was a wonderful surprise!!   I was so touched that Becca and her family came to celebrate my 40th birthday with me.   Becca is such a great friend to me and I am so very blessed to have met her.  And......Peyton was so excited that his little buddy Logan was there!!  Thanks Angie and Mike for a wonderful evening!

My 40th Birthday

Today I celebrated my 40th birthday with my family.  We had BBQ Shrimp which is my favorite and what I request every year!!  :)  And today I got my new Nikon D7000 and a brand new lens, a 85mm 1.8!!!!  I am so excited and can't wait to master them both.  I had to wait almost three long weeks for my new camera.   I sold my D60 to a friend and only had my point and shoot....which is okay, but you sure do realize how slow points and shoots are when you're trying to take pictures of a three year old!!  So yeah, very happy to have my new camera now!!   And I got all my accessories needed for my new camera for my birthday!!  I had a wonderful birthday celebration!! 

Easter Dinner

Peyton had another Easter egg hunt at Grammy and Grand Dad's house.  I told Peyton that next year he will have a little competition because by then Maddie should be walking.  :)  Afterwards we enjoyed our first crawfish of the year!  We had a very lovely, laid back Easter!
