Angela's Birthday Dinner

Tonight Kevin and I had Angela over for her birthday dinner.  And presents of course.  Have to have the presents!  This year I went to one of my favorite little shops, Little Miss Muffin, and looked for something special to get her for her birthday.  Angela has a very unique taste when it comes to home decor, jewelry, and clothing which can sometimes makes shopping for her a challenge. But after looking around the store (and pulling myself away from all the girl baby stuff),  I came across a dress that looked like her style and had all of the colors she loved in it.  I was nervous about buying it so I made sure to ask about the return policy just in case she doesn't care for it.  I then had it wrapped and crossed my fingers that I made the right decision.

Before she opened her present, I told Angela that she absolutely MUST be honest about whether she liked her gift or not.  I had no problem going back to Little Miss Muffin and letting her pick something she did like instead of her saying she liked my present and never wear it.  She promised and opened the box.  She saw the pattern, smiled and said "So far so good!".  She thought it was a shirt (which she loves) but when she saw that it was a dress (which she loves more), her face lit up and she said she absolutely LOVED it!  Of course she had to convince me by trying it on and it looked beautiful on her!  Ha!  So strike for me!  I think I made the right decision and so happy that I came across this little dress.  Because if there is one thing I know my sister loves, it is clothes.  She never has enough clothes.  Happy Birthday Angela!
Peyton, of course,  had to get in to the cake action!  My boy!   :)

Some Riding Fun

Erin invited all the kiddies over to ride their bikes at her house.  She lives in the student housing downtown and they have this big concert area perfect for some riding fun.  The kids look so cute when they get together.

Anyway, I am proud that I made it out there!!  I have been so tired lately with this pregnancy and getting up and down is now becoming more of a challenge.  Overall, I am feeling pretty good with this pregnancy and can't wait for the little princess to be here to join our little play date group!!

Emmalia Marie Davis

Emmalia Marie Davis is what we are going to name our little girl!  I love that we are naming our children after Kevin's great, great, maybe another great grandparents!  :)
My next appointment is coming up at the end of this month.  I am so hoping that they do an ultrasound this time.  My OB's office hates to do ultrasounds unless there is a problem.  Thank goodness we have our 4D coming up next month.

Emma has been moving around so much lately.  It is so amazing to feel her move and to feel her kick.  I never thought I would ever get to feel this miracle again.  But here I am, sitting here with my hand on my belly feeling her go to town in there.

I feel so blessed.  I just want to tell everyone about Fertilaid and how much this supplement helped Kevin and I.  After dealing with the RE for so long and spending all that money and getting nothing except a molar pregnancy...... which cost me almost another year of not being able to get pregnant.  I just want to help everyone that I can and tell them about Fertilaid and hope that it works for them like it worked on me.

Strep Throat

Peyton's third day of school, he came home with a fever.  I gave him medicine and by midnight his fever broke.  The next morning he felt fine so I sent him to school.  He came home again with a fever and this time he complained of having a headache and that his neck and ear was bothering him. Darn! I was going to bring him in to see his doctor on Friday, but I stupidly said in front of him to Kevin on the phone that he may need to go.  Suddenly and miraculously Peyton was feeling better.  So I believed him until later in the evening (when doctor's office was closed and tomorrow is a Saturday) he started crying that his ear was hurting so bad he couldn't take it.  So we drugged him up as much as he allowed and called the doctor on night call to see what we could do and where to bring him in the morning.  His doctor Dr. N happen to be on call that night told us that she was going to be in the Mandeville office in the morning and we can bring him in first thing.  Kevin and I made the trip out there and come to find out our little guy has Strep throat!  Oh Lord!  Both Kevin and I have been kissing and drinking after him.  I think I am immune to Strep because I had it so much as a kid, but don't know how that applies when you are pregnant.  I guess we can only pray that it doesn't spread.  Plus Peyton  had an outer ear infection.  And just to make record of this, THIS is Peyton's VERY FIRST ear infection ever!  Which impressed his doctor to say the least!  :)  So, Peyton has to stay clear of people for 24 hours after starting his antibiotics, which means he will miss his friend's birthday party today!  Bummer!  I hate germs!

First Day of Pre-K 4

The whole week we talked to Peyton about school.  He seemed okay with it but I just had a feeling that when it was actually time to go, it would be a different story.

This morning when he was reminded that today was actually the first day of school, he started crying.  Daddy  talked to him calming explaining that it is just a short time that he will be there and he will be home before he knew it.  He told Peyton how smart he would be if he went to school and how much fun it was to see all of his friends again.  Suddenly Peyton stopped crying and told Kevin he stopped crying because it was only three hours at school.  I had to laugh!  :)  This kid crack me up with some of the things he come up with as he reason things out.

He was fine for the rest of the morning, BUT not without telling me that his stomach hurt and that his "heart  was nervous".  Ha!  This kids has a great imagination!

So when it was time to go, he seemed fine, but the closer we got to his classroom, I could see that he was starting to break down again.  Suddenly we see Erin walk around the corner and she happily told Peyton that Zoe was in the classroom waiting for him.  This seemed to have cheered him up and he walked into his class room with a smile on his face.  I know my little guy was trying to be brave and I can't tell him enough how much I love and admire him for that.  I hope he ends up having a better connection with his new teacher.  We shall see!

Logan Comes to Play

Peyton missed having his best buddy over for our Labor Day BBQ, so we invited him over to play.  Peyton and Logan was so happy to see each other.  It has been almost two weeks since they played together due to everyone being out of town because of Hurricane Isaac!  I love to see the happiness on those boy's faces.  :)

Labor Day

This Labor day is hard for some people.  From what I read and from what I hear, a lot of people are still do not have electricity from Hurricane Isaac.

My friend Erin is helping another friend, Amber and her family out because for almost a week now, she has no electricity in her apartment complex.  So Amber has been staying in Erin's apartment.

Kevin and I thought it would be nice to have them all over for a BBQ and beer as the kids swam to release some of that pent up hurricane energy.   We had (I mean the kids) had a blast!  :)  I love hanging out with great friends!
