Playdate at Betsy and Gabriella's house

Today we had a playdate at Betsy and Gabriella's house. It was too chilly for the kids to go outside today, so we were stuck. But there were cool toys to play with inside!! And all of Peyton's friends were there.

Visit from Mimi & Pawpaw

Today Mimi and Pawpaw came over for a visit. They are usually out this way about once a week grocery shopping at Super Walmart. Of course Peyton is always up for a visit from the grandparents! He was pretty sad that they left. He kept staring out the door as they were leaving.

What's the point?

Peyton started pointing. He points to the lights, he points at the fans, he points at anything he may want at that moment. Now all is needed are words such as "What's that?" or "I want". :)

Golden Coral

Tonight we (Me, Kevin, Peyton and Angela) met up with Mom and Dad at Golden Coral. Of course, it's buffet. But their food is pretty good. And Mom and Dad love spending as much time as possible with Peyton. Peyton is the apple of their eye. Everytime we get with them, it seems like Dad is holding Peyton more than Mom. It's almost like they are silently fighting a little over him! :)

Nanny's Visit for Birthday

Even though Peyton was worn out from his birthday playdate, his nap gave him his second wind for Nanny's visit. She came bearing birthday gifts and some playtime. She gave Peyton his very first remote controlled car. Very, very cute! They had fun playing together in Peyton's playroom. Then I sent a big chunk of Peyton's birthday cake home with Nanny.... :)

Birthday Party Playdate

Today was Peyton's birthday party playdate. Boy has Peyton been busy the last three days. The playdate was very nice! His cake was beautiful...I could not have been happier with Creative Cakes. They even put Peyton's name on his personal cake which I thought was a nice touch. And even though I told the moms that gifts were not necessary, Peyton still got some cool toys! I am very appreciative. And boy was Peyton beat after the playdate was over with!! :) He has had a very full couple of birthday days. I always dreamed of how my children's birthday would be and they all came true. Happy birthday my little love!

Happy Birthday Peyton!!

Today my little love turns ONE! As I stated in my last post, I cannot believe how fast this year flew by. It seems like yesterday that I was in the hospital anticipating the arrival of our little boy..... even though this date of his birth came as a surprise! I didn't even have time to finish putting away his washed clothes. The scare of my determined condition (Cholestasis) took every fear away that I thought I would face when the time came for his delivery. Needles and the idea of being cut open were the biggest of them all. But when the time came, all I wanted was to hear him cry and see his little face and all the needles and knives in the world could not take that moment away. I was wanting them to stick and cut away. And the moment we saw that little face, our lives changed forever! Even the pain of my surgery was numbed by the unbelievable love I felt. I waited so long for him.

Happy Birthday, my little guy and thank you for making Mommy and Daddy very, very happy!!!

Pre Birthday Pictures

I decided that Peyton will have pretty much a week long birthday celebration. After all, this is his special 1st! So in celebration, Peyton and I baked a cake together. It is not the prettiest cake, a little sideways and all, but we had a blast! :) Then we had a blast eating the cake as Mommy took pictures!
