Color Week

So this week was color week for Emma's class.  Every day Emma dressed in (or had in her clothing) the color of the day.  This excited Emma.   She loved looking through her clothes with me for the color she was going to wear.

Peyton's Self Portrait

Every year, Peyton's class does a self portrait.  I swear, each year Peyton is getting better and better with his self image.

Alligator Fest

We met Mom, Dad, and Angela with her family at the Alligator Fest.  For it being the 2nd day of fall, it was extremely hot where everyone, including the kids who most of the time does not feel the weather, were miserable.   So our stay there didn't last longer than eating, holding some alligators, and then run through the arts and crafts so we can get back into the air condition.   Maybe next year will be better with the weather.

Nanny's Birthday Dinner

We invited Nanny and family over for some steaks to celebrate her birthday.  I think Nanny had a great time.

Emma's First Day of PK#

So Emma was really, really excited about her first day of school.  She talked about it all week and couldn't wait until it was her turn for me to bring her.  She was super brave until we walked in the door.  That was when she turned around and started crying saying "mommy".  I quickly kissed her goodbye and turned around and left.  That was HARD.  I hate seeing her upset, but I know she will end up loving school.  She is so different from Peyton as far as having a love for arts and crafts, dancing and singing.

So at noon I quickly made my way to pick her up, curious with how things went.  Her teacher, Ms. Deborah, showed me a picture of Emma laughing at the play doe table.  She looked so happy.  And she looked so happy when I picked her up.  Ms. Deborah told me that that picture was taken exactly 5 minutes after I left.  That made me feel so much better that she got over it quickly.  So here is to a great year for my Emmalia!
