Peyton had his first school field trip today to the Lawrence Square Playground. At school pickup, the mom who picked the boys up, Heather, called me because Peyton was upset that he didn't wash his hands before eating his Popsicle and was worried about germs going into his belly. I had to calm him down by telling him that he will be okay. I think I have turned my boy into a germaphobic. :) The pictures that was taken by Bricolage are cute but once again, they seem to not be able to catch Peyton good in them. All the pictures seem to have a part of Peyton in it....an arm, a leg, now his head (to the left) in one of them or in the background. Oh well, maybe one day I will have a decent picture.

Happy 9 Months!
Happy nine months Ladybug! It is hard to believe that you are already 9 months old. Where did the time go? As you are quickly traveling from babyhood to toddlerhood, I celebrate with excitement yet grief. This is the last single digit month for you and that can only mean one thing....you are already growing up right before my eyes. In the short 9 months of your life, you have taught me a lesson of patience. Patience to conceive you, patience to have you, patience to bring you home while you were in the NICU and patience with your oh, so ever spicy personality. I love you baby girl! I am so lucky to have you!

Two Months
Yesterday made it two very long months since our Zackie left us. Even though the hurt of losing him has softened, I still can't stop thinking about him. He left way too soon. I will always miss him.

First Day of Kindergarten
I can't believe that my baby boy, who I just had yesterday, right(?) is going to Kindergarten. What an emotional day......but an exciting one as well.
Peyton woke up, ate breakfast, and got ready for his big day. But not without getting a picture of his First Day sign.
Once we arrived to school, I started to see that excitement was starting to be replaced with a little nervousness. But he was ready to see his friends, so we took a quick picture in front of the Bricolage sign and headed in.
So we went straight to Peyton's classroom when he ran into one of his teachers, Ms. Denson, who was excited to see Peyton and asked him if he was ready to begin the school year. Peyton said yes but when he turned his head to continue walking, I saw that he became really nervous and he had tears in his eyes. I leaned down and started telling him how great school was going to be! Peyton looked at me, put on a brave face and said "I know". From that point on he was fine. :) He fell right into place in his classroom. He put his name tag on, found the chair with his name on it and began coloring with the rest of his classmates.
I am extremely proud of my little man. I hope he has a wonderful school year.

Last Fun Day of Summer
Amber invited the kids over for one last swim fun day before school starts. The kids, well, they had their fun as the moms talk about how nervous we all will be on the first day and how excited, yet sad that we are beginning this new chapter in our lives. And the kids knew they had school, but it has really hit them yet. Monday....it will hit them!! I am happy that my boy had so much fun on the official last day of summer break!

Meeting His Teacher
Kindergarten is starting next week. So hard to believe that my baby boy is in big school now. Tonight was parent orientation and we got a chance for all of us as a family to view Peyton's classroom, meet his teachers (Ms. Thomas and Ms. Denson) and to see who will be his classmates. Peyton was so excited to learn that Zoe will be in his class. Actually both Peyton and Zoe both were excited! So the count down begins. My little boy isn't so little any more. So here's to a new chapter in our life.
