The Fresh Beat Band Concert

Peyton started liking the Fresh Beat Band.  When Peyton was a baby, I couldn't stand them.  I thought they were super silly and stupid!  Especially when I heard songs such as Loco Legs and Go Bananas.  But when Peyton got old enough to appreciate them, they started to grow on me.  So when I heard that they were coming to New Orleans for a concert, I thought Peyton would really enjoy it.  So you can imagine my excitement when a mom who unfortunately couldn't go was selling her tickets.  (By the time I got around to looking into purchasing tickets, all the good seats were gone).  Yay!  Peyton chose to bring his pal Konnor and off we went for some singing and dancing fun!

City Park Adventure

We all decided on City Park for our play date and I have to tell you, it wasn't a wise choice.  The park was packed!!!  I never seen so many kiddos.  And the school buses hauling kids in didn't help the situation.  We decided, after realizing that our stress levels were to the roof because it was so hard to keep up with all the kids, that it would be best to venture some place else.  We went to the big field across the street and hung out there until it was time to go.  Needless to say, I think we will stay clear of City Park's playground for a while. But it didn't matter where we were, the kids had so much fun playing together.

Storyland Fun

Today Peyton had some Storyland fun with cousin Maddie.  I would've love to have gone, but since pregnancy nausea has hit me really hard lately, going out in the heat is the last  thing I want to do.  But I did get to enjoy the lovely pictures.  I am so glad that my little guy had a great time!!

I Tried Not to Laugh

I really did try not to laugh, but I couldn't help it when Peyton ran to me with his truck stuck to his head.  "What did you do??"  I asked.  "I don't know!" he said then busted out in tears.  I knew I had a job in store for me with this.  After all, this was a battery operated truck and knew that if it grabbed his hair, it did a job well done.   I know I am a bad mommy  but I had to grab my camera.  I mean, these moments we will look back on one day and laugh our butts off, right?  :)  Well Peyton didn't find it funny and even got mad that I was taking pictures.  Sorry my little guy, but I want to embed this moment in my brain forever the day you had a truck stuck to your head!

I was able to untangle his hair from the truck's back tires, which was a little painful for Peyton, but I was happy that I didn't have to cut much of his beautiful hair off.  My boy!  Gotta love him.
