Playing in the Dark

Yep, still enjoying this beautiful weather.  We went on another bike ride this evening, stopped by the school's playground to play a little while Kevin ran over to Lakeview Harbor to pick up some margaritas.  And while we were enjoying our margaritas it started to get really dark but that didn't stop my little guy from playing.  I was hoping he wouldn't fall off of anything.  :)  It felt so great outside it was ashame that our fun time had to end.

Flowers for Mommy

My little darling loves to bring me flowers.  "Here  Mommy, for you!"  he says as he hands them to me.  I think we have him on the right track!!

Birthday in the Park

Today was Peyton's little friend Ava's birthday and we celebrated it at Pontiff Park.  The weather was nice and cool, so it was a wonderful time to celebrate a birthday.   Peyton had a great time with the playground, bubbles, chark, and balloons.  And Peyton really was excited when he found out we were having pizza and cookie cake.   It was a nice party.  Happy Birthday Ava!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Fall

Today I had my coffee outside on the deck because the weather was nice and cool.  I love this weather!  It really puts me in a good mood!  :)  Peyton and I spent most of the day outside just soaking it up.  When Daddy came home we decided to take a bike ride around the neighborhood and then stop off for some ice cream.  It was a nice way to say goodbye to Summer and hello to Fall.  I just hope this nice cool weather sticks around for a while.

Won't Be Left Out

After the Saints game we had grilled crab legs for dinner at Grammy's and Grand Dad's house.   We were pretty upset that the Saints lost a game they were so close to winning....but that was soon forgotten when the crab legs were served!  :)  Peyton had his own little dinner but insisted that he have crabs too.  I guess he is tired of being left out from the good stuff....even though he wouldn't eat any of the crabs.  He just wanted to feel as important as everyone else I guess.

A Bounce Spectrum Morning

Today Peyton and I met with with two other mom friends and their kids at Bounce Spectrum.  Peyton really enjoyed the slide this time around and must have gone down it 100 times.  I even went down it many times and I have to say that this slide is pretty steep but really fun.  I really got my workout today!  :)

McDonalds For Lunch

Today Peyton asked if we could go to McDonalds and since we haven't gone in months I thought why not.  Peyton loves McDonalds but what kid doesn't!   :)  So we went for lunch and then thought to have some playground fun at Bonnebel.   When we arrived at the playground it was totally deserted.  Which is unusual because anytime we go there are plenty of kids around.  Peyton got bored quickly so I thought to swing by City Park and play there.  Well there were no one there either!!  Then we went to Storyland.  It was empty as well.   I guess everyone is at the Superdome's Kingcake event.  I didn't think I would be interested in that but now I am wondering if we could have missed something great!   Oh well, I still had a nice day with my sweetie.

Watching My Boys

While out shopping today, I (of course) passed by the toys section and saw this little plastic baseball set.  I had to get it!!!!  Why not expose my little man to baseball now?  I can see myself a baseball mom!!!  So...when Kevin came home I pulled out the baseball and bat and watched as my boys played outside.  I may be partial and all...but  I have to say that Peyton is a pretty good hitter!!!  They sure did have fun today. One of the best things in life is hearing my boys laugh as they are playing.  Music to my ears!!!

Spunky's New Home

Today as I was cleaning Spunky's round fish bowl, it broke.  I mean literally broke as I was wiping the inside out.  I am lucky I didn't cut myself.  I got away with just a little scratch on the palm of my hand.  So Peyton and I had to go buy Spunky a new bowl.  I looked everywhere for a two gallon round bowl like we had that fits on my fish stand, but could only find one gallon.  I even remember seeing huge round bowls at Gordon's but of course when I want one, they were nowhere to be found.  So I had to settle buying an small aquarium and put my fish stand away.  Boo....I really liked that stand but poor Spunky needed something right away.   I think Spunky likes his new home.  He has to get use to corners now but I'm sure that won't be a problem.  :)

Lakeview Fest

This afternoon we took a trip down to the mall and afterwards we stopped over by the Lakeview Fest for dinner.  It was hot out there since the festival was on all pavement but we had a nice time.  Peyton first thing wanted to look at all the cop cars, trucks and ambulances parked out there, but then wanted to get in line to get a balloon from BoBo The Clown.  He soon lost interest in the balloon when he saw another little boy splashing in the puddles.  Peyton had to join in all the fun action with that!!!  :)   After my boys ate some pizza we headed home.  I was tired!!  We had a very full weekend..............

Isabelle's 3rd Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Isabelle's 3rd birthday at this place called Ivanov's Gymnastics Academy.  Peyton and I have never been here before.....and Kevin and I were very impressed with all the gym stuff that they had.  Peyton jumped right in (again surprised) and started running and playing and just having the best time with all of his friends.  I think the favorite of all the kids were the long trampoline and the parachute.  It was a very fun and wonderful birthday party!!

K is For Kissing

After we left  the beach, we headed over to Grammy and Grand Dad's house for dinner and to watch the Auburn game.  We dropped Angela off to her car, grabbed Zack and back on the road we went.  Peyton, even though exhausted, was so excited to see his grandparents.  The best part of the evening was when Grammy and Peyton was playing on his little Alphabet computer. Peyton kept purposely press the letter K which says "K is for kissing" and then he would lean over to Grammy and give her a big kiss.  That must have went on for about 10 minutes but I really didn't think Grammy minded!!  :)

A Little Beach Fun

Since we missed our Pensacola trip this year, we thought it would be nice to take a little trip to Bay St. Louis so that Peyton and I could have a little beach time and Kevin can have a little wind surfing time.   The weather was absolutely perfect and just enough wind to Kevin's liking.  The only thing is that I wish we could have had more beach time because Peyton had a total meltdown when it was time to leave.  Poor baby wanted to stay and walk the beach but we had to leave around 3:00 p.m. because Kevin had an Auburn game and Angela had evening plans.  So we may head out there once more before it gets to chilly to go.  Other than the major meltdown, it was a very, very nice day.  :)

Mr. Social

My boy....the one who stand by me for at least 30 minutes when we go on a playdate before he starts to really play and the one who shy away from people whether new or not.....well is now becoming a social butterfly.   Tonight when we went to watch Daddy play, he talked to and played with anyone and everyone who were willing.  Yes, my baby is growing up and is now feeling comfortable enough to venture off a little bit without having to hold Mommy's hand.  What a cutie pie he was tonight.  I love this kid so much!!
