Happy New Year!!! We were invited to John and Mary's house for New Year's. We had a blast. We ate and ate and ate, had lots of wine, played some games of pool and ping pong and watch wonderful fire works from the deck....all as Peyton slept peacefully downstairs in a crib.

First Bike Ride
Today we went for a ride with our Christmas bikes and Peyton's bike trailor. Peyton is okay with the bike ride... it is wearing the helmet that is getting on his nerves. Kevin and I had to stop like 10 times to fix his helmet before we figured out what we had to do to make it fit correctly. I am sure Peyton will get use to the helmet...well he pretty much has too!! :)

Peyton's First Christmas Eve
This was Peyton first Christmas with the family. It was so exciting! Even though Peyton really doesn't understand Christmas yet, it was wonderful having him here. Finally, a child to celebrate Christmas with. It seems like yesterday that I was pregnant with him during Christmas, watching everyone eating raw oyster and drinking wine. HA! It was a wonderful, wonderful evening! I love you Peyton!!!
This Christmas we got from Kevin's parents each a bike and Peyton a bike trailor. What wonderful gifts! I can't wait to ride together as a family!!!

Christmas in the Oaks Walk
Today we walked in the Christmas in the Oaks walk. It was only 2 miles, then you have free range of the Christmas in the Oaks. It was very, very nice. The lights are breath taking! It was a little chilly and I think I may have under dressed Peyton a little. Thank God I had a blanket with me to drape over him. Peyton even took a picture with Santa Clause. Actually his second picture. He did okay but obviously wasn't happy by the expression on his face! Hehe. I will post the picture in the next entry.

New Orleans Snow
Mom called me up this morning and said "It's snowing!!" I heard on the news that we may get snow flurries, but not actual snow. I thought they were getting some flurries and Mom was calling me to say it was snowing. After some questioning I heard my dad say that it was snowing hard and it was coming our way. So 10 minutes later I looked out the window and it was actually snowing! The last time it snowed was right before Hurricane Katrina which was on Christmas Day, December 25, 2004. And can you believe that it has snowed twice in less than 5 years and for some reason or another Kevin and I was NOT with each other for both those time? Kevin is on a business trip and is flying back tomorrow. So I excitely called Kevin's cell and left a message that it was snowing! In 2004 Kevin and I just met and we had plans to get together later on Christmas day. But that is okay....I had Peyton and we (well I) had a great time playing in the snow with him. Peyton kept looking at the snow but was not impressed. hehe. If he was a couple of months older, he would have loved it. Oh, well. The snow was absolutely beautiful!
