First Halloween

Peyton had his first Halloween. Last night we went to Halloween in Storyland. Kevin's mom came with us. It was okay. I just think that Peyton would enjoy this next Halloween. Everything was a little too old for him. And it was so dark in there. They need some more lights! Tonight Kevin, Peyton and I went to a street Trick or Treat block party. This was pretty cool. There was hay rides to houses that was given treats. Peyton enjoyed the ride for about the first 15 minutes, then he started to get restless. It was, after all, way past his bedtime. I can't wait until next year.

Halloween Playdate at Natalie & Frank's

Today was our Halloween playdate. This playdate was totally adorable. The kids had such great costumes on! The moms were laughing because some of the kiddos were a little scared of Peyton in his monkey costume. I can understand because he does look like some sort of animal walking around. My "little monkey" was one of the hits at the playdate! :)

Wasting Time

We have our house on the market. And this is very hard. We have to constantly keep the house spotless and we have to be able to leave at any given moment if someone is interested. We can't keep any pictures on the wall and a lot of stuff we have to store away so the house looks "roomier". This as I said is a hard way to live. Once Peyton and I had to leave when we both were sick with a cold. I sat in the car down the street while Peyton slept in his car seat. When you are sick, leaving the house is the last thing you want to do. But then, you don't want to miss that potential buyer. Crazy!!! So..... leaving the house is what we had to do today. So, we headed to City Park to burn some time. At least it was a beautiful day to be at the park.

New Play Area

Peyton has also worked his way up to a new play area. He room got crowded really quick with all his toys, so we decided to make the large room downstairs his playroom. And falling down the stairs from slipping on a toy is an accident waiting to happen. So, they all came downstairs. Which is good for me because I really would like to start hosting some playdates. The play area turned out really cute. We have a really nice white wooded corner shelf that we are going to put in next weekend. So I guess that means new toys to fill out those spots! Yeah for the upcoming Christmas holiday!!

Tooth Fairy

Well, finally the Tooth Fairy decided to visit us and give teeth that she will one day take back. Peyton has a tooth coming in! It only took 9 months (and three days of dealing with a cranky butt). But in a way I am really going to miss his gummy little smile.

Chicken Dance

We took Peyton the the German festival (don't remember the name) and we had a pretty good time. When the chicken dance started and the man dressed like a chicken came out, Kevin and I were curious to how Peyton was going to react around him. We have a trip planned for next month to go to Disney World and of course I want pictures of Peyton with every character I see. Will he scream and turn away in horror? Well, it turned out that Peyton loved the chicken man.

Zoo Trip with Mimi & Pawpaw

Today we went to the zoo with Mimi and Pawpaw. The weather felt great. Peyton was into it a little. We have to give him a couple more months.

Outside

Peyton absolutely loves being outside. I had the deck door open and he sat just outside of the door playing with leaves, sticks and anything else he can get his hands on. He was so fascinated with the leaves and kept feeling each one with his fingers. It is amazing what they find fascinating at this age!
