As I was changing Peyton's diaper, one of the tabs broke off of the new one. So what do I do? Well I have a little fun with my puppy. Zack was quite mad at me for putting the diaper on him. Usually I get "the look" from Peyton, but this time it was from Zack. But boy, it sure does make funny pictures. Kevin said I have too much time on my hands! :)

Hold On
Peyton (ok I) have been doing pretty good with Peyton sleeping in his own bed. I guess what helps is the visual monitor. I like to watch what is going on with him at every possible moment. But I do miss my little booger next to me at night. Oh, well it had to happen sooner or later. I notice that Peyton now hangs on to my shirt. I don't know if the different sleeping arrangements may have started this or not. But that won't work my honey!! Daddy is already use to you being in your own room! :)

What's This?
Kevin kept asking me when I thought it was about time for Peyton to start sleeping in his own bed. (I think the every three to four hour feedings is starting make him tired during the day at work) Honestly, I know it is about time because Peyton is about as long as his bassinett. So I have been trying to convert my little monster to his own bed. When I first put him down to sleep in his crib, he gave me "the look". Like, what do you think you are doing look. This isn't right look. I am about to protest this look. Well, this is hard for Mommy too sweet boy......

Big Boy Toys
Peyton is now reaching for toys! He is bored with the swing and the bouncer chair. So, we had to crack open the Lay and Play and the Jumparoo. He loves the jumparoo even though his feet does not quite touch the floor yet. But he learned real fast that he could bounce by kicking his legs. Peyton is pretty much where he is suppose to be with his developmental milestones. The Ped said that he may be a little behind due to the fact that he came almost a month early, but not so much that it is really noticed except by his mommy. Peyton has done everything so far except for using his arms to hold his head up during tummy time. Kevin and I have been working with him with his tummy time which he still does not necessarily like. He is a fusspot everytime it is that time, but he is getting better. He is actually trying to roll over when he is on his back, and when he does try Kevin and I assist him by showing him how to finish the task. Except it seems that when he is on his stomach, he doesn't know what to do from that point except suck his hands. So, we still have some work to do with that. My Ped said to put him on his stomach at least once a day, but I read that I should put him on his stomach 5-8 times a day during play. We have been doing that and so far seen some improvement on his part.In a way I am not in a hurry for him to grow up so fast. His little personality is blooming so much. He makes me laugh almost every day. Once a day we lay on a pillow for more play and talk time. At first he would always lay on his back. Now he rolls on his side to face me and touches my face as he talks to me. What a sweet boy!

Fudpuckers Volleyball Tournament in Florida
Over the weekend we were at the Fudpuckers Volleyball tournament. The weather was absolutely beautiful, so Peyton got to enjoy beach time. Kevin's team did not go as far as they would have liked with the tournament, but that was soon forgotten when they won first place in the costume contest on Sunday! The guys dressed as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!!! Thanks to the teammates wives and significant others, Katie, Marissa and Beth, (and the guys for going along with it) their costumes were outstanding. There were some fussing about the extent of what the costume would consist of, (I won't name any names), but thanks to the persistence for the idea of Katie, Marissa and Beth, the guys not only had a lot of fun, they were loved by the kids and many, many adults who wanted to take their picture with them. They were the hit of the sands - and I am not kidding! Other contestants knew they had a challenge in front of them. Right, Katie? :) I unfortunately did not help much due to having a 3 month old, BUT the next tournament, I plan to be there to help with the preparations. We just have to out do this tournament's costumes....which I think will be very hard. But check out the pictures. I have the pictures going backwards starting from Sunday going to Saturday morning. They are great.

French Quarter Fest 2008
Today we brought Peyton to his first French Quarter Festival. He did pretty good! He let us spend a good 5 hours there before he started complaining. The weather was pretty except it was a little chilly. We also met up with some of Kevin's old friends who are in town, Bo & Tracey. It was nice hanging with them.

3 Months Old
Today Peyton makes three months. Hard to believe!!! :)
Auntie Dawn is down from New Jersey to finish up with wedding plans and got to spend some time with Peyton, but sadly had to leave on Monday. So, we look forward to seeing her again next month for her wedding. Today Peyton is three months old! He is getting so big, it is hard to believe that he was a newborn two months ago. Before we know it, we will be celebrating his first birthday.

Auntie Dawn Meeting Peyton
Karen's Baby Shower
Today we went to Karen's baby shower. She is a really good friend of Angela. Karen is having a baby boy who will be named Preston David DiSalvo. Cute! Karen got to hold Peyton for the first time, but a very short time. I didn't even get a chance to get a picture. She was very busy today with her shower!! I can understand. It seemed like yesterday that I was having mine.
