Officially a Stay At Home Mom

Friday was my last day working. It was a bitter/sweet day. The girls at work gave me a "Mommy Care Package" and more baby stuff. If any of the girls at The Young Firm is reading this ---- Thanks for everything and I will most definitely miss each of you. I hope everyone has a wonderful New Years!!!

Peyton's name

After Christmas dinner, I asked Kevin's mom to let me see the Davis' family book. One of Kevin's aunts told us during Thanksgiving that Peyton is a family name on Kevin's side. Sure enough it is! Two of Kevin's great grandfathers had Peyton as a middle name. How neat is that ? Even though we chose the name before we found this out, it is great to know that Peyton's name has history behind it.

Christmas 2007 with Family Before Baby

Last Christmas for Kevin and I as a twosome! The weeks can't pass fast enough until my little man is here!!! It was very hard not to be able to eat the "slippery ones" (raw oysters). Boo. You can't eat anything raw while pregnant. I will have to wait to next year! Every year Kevin's family get raw oysters to shuck to bake for Christmas dinner. I love this tradition!

Packing my Hospital Bag!!

It is hard to believe that I make 35 weeks on Monday. Hopefully, only 4 (or less) more weeks to go. A coworker, Nickie (my secret Santa) gave me two nightshirts, slippers and a nice soft baby receiving blanket to pack in my hospital bag. Thanks to her she got me going with getting this done. Anytime between now and January 30th, Peyton could decide to come, so I need to be ready. It is so hard to believe that he will be here soon!! I have three more days of work left and the countdown really begins. How exciting for Kevin and I.

Yeah, No 3 Hr Testing

My doctor told me that since I am late in my pregnancy, I do not have to take the 3 hr glucose test. I have no symptoms she is worred about, but she does want me to test my blood on a weekly basis for high levels of sugar until the baby is born.

33 weeks doctor's visit

I had my doctor's appointment yesterday. Everything is great. They are now starting to monitor every two weeks for twenty minutes of the baby's heartbeat just to make sure that he is not under any type of stress. As of now, Peyton is on track with his weight and doing good. Unfortunately I failed my one hour glucose test. Now I have to go back to take the three hour test. Not looking forward to this at all and wondering when I am going to have time to even do this with the holidays coming up. My doctor says she thinks I will pass the three hour test, so I am really not worried.
