2013 Christmas Party

So after a long day at the zoo, I went home to continue preparing for our Christmas party.  This party was a happy yet sad occasion since our sweet Casci family will be leaving tomorrow for Pittsburgh.  Everyone held it together well....ok until the end of the night then the women got all emotional.  But the night was wonderful with kids singing and dancing, chocolate martinis, presents and a sweet performance from Becca and Michael.  Such wonderful memories.  I will cherish them forever with it being the last night with one of my best friends.  

Bricolage Zoo School Field Trip

I remember as a kid going on school field trips and how exciting they were. Two weeks ago we were told that Peyton's school first field trip would be to the zoo. I do not know who was more excited...Peyton or me! I was super thrilled that I was able to volunteer with Peyton's school to help out for the trip.  So about 20 minutes before they were to arrive, I drove to the zoo and waited for the school bus to show up.  I wanted to get a picture of Peyton as he got off since this was the first time ever that he rode a bus!  My baby is not a baby any longer.

Since my great friend Erin is moving this weekend to Pittsburg, I was very happy that the school put me with her as a group.  I was able to enjoy watching Peyton and Zoe have fun together on this field trip.  It was a great ending with the end of their journey here.  *sniff, sniff*  It is very sad that the kids (and Erin and I) won't see much of each other any longer.  It took everything for me to keep from getting emotional at times. But Peyton had a blast and we made some great memories today!

A Message for Zack

"Mommy, we never sent a balloon to Zack for his birthday."  It really hit me hard that it was my sweet puppy's 10th birthday and he is not here.  "True." I said.  "Do you think Zack would like it if we shared Emma's balloon with a note attach wishing him a Happy Birthday and a Merry Christmas?"   Peyton thought that was a great idea.  So we wrote Zack a sweet note telling him that we thought about him on his birthday , how much we really miss him and we hope he has a wonderful Christmas.  Then Peyton let the balloon go so that our sweet Zack can get his message.

Emma's 1st Birthday Party

Today my little Princess turns ONE!  Hard to believe.  She is getting so big so fast.  I love you Emma!
