Bath Time!

Peyton had his first bath yesterday and he did really good without too much fussing. Of course daddy had to dress him in his Auburn outfit afterwards. Peyton is such a sweet baby. I can't believe how calm of a baby he is. He seems so content and I hope he stays this way. Now we just have to get him to sleep through the night for mommy.

Baby Love

Peyton had his first checkup yesterday. He is now 7 pounds and doing great. He is a wonderful baby and I am totally in love with him!! Very laid back like his daddy. I am still recovering from my c-section with a little pain, but nothing horrible. Unlike the itching I went through before Peyton's arrival!

Grandad's First Visit

When I was in the hospital with Peyton, Grandad did not have a chance to visit. He came down with a very bad cold and didn't want to expose me or the baby to his germs. I could understand that. So he visited Peyton tonight. He was hesitating about tonight at first because he wasn't sure if he was germ free yet. But we talked him into it. We thought that he should be okay to hold Peyton.

The First 48 Hours

They say that the first 48 hours is the hardest. Well it hasn't been too bad with Peyton. He sleeps most of the time and eats every three hours. I guess maybe waking up every three hours is a little tough, but so worth it! :) I find myself waking up anyway just to make sure he is still breathing and okay. I guess a paranoia that all new moms goes through! I still look at Peyton and can't believe he is really mine!!! Kevin is doing really well with Peyton. He has caught on already when it come to Peyton's feedings, diaper changes and cries. Kevin is going to be such a wonderful father. I couldn't be more blessed as I am right now.

Hospital Picture

Our Little Froggy

When it was time for Peyton to be born, the doctor had a heck of a time reaching him through my incision. He was positioned with each leg up like a little frog. They had to check his hips after delivery to make sure that everything was in working order....and of course everything turned out fine. The doctor told me that he just liked that position. Well it seems like he still does. So, for now Daddy and I are calling Peyton our Little Froggy! :)
